Background:

From Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ms. Dao Thu Trang received her degree. She has worked in the patent industry for more than 16 years. She is a member of the Hanoi Bar Association as well.

• Online Course of the APEC IPi-Facilitator Program jointly organized by APEC, KIPO and KIPA.

Experience:

Before starting her career in the field of intellectual property, Ms. Trang worked for electronic companies such as Meiko and Panasonic. Thanks to that, in addition to knowledge of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology from HUST, she also gained valuable knowledge about electronics.

Ms. Trang mainly focuses on dealing with patent searches, drafting patent specifications and prosecution. Additionally, she broadens her practice to provide professional advice on other patent issues, such as, transferring IP rights, lodging patent appeals, handling patent oppositions, and invalidations. With over 16 years of experience in the IP field, Ms. Trang has assisted many clients from various countries to establish and protect their IP rights in Vietnam as well as internationally.
